All Star Team from NRLC to Speak at Pro-Life Day 2004

David N. O’Steen, Burke Balch, Mary Spaulding Balch, and Holly Smith will
speak at North Carolina Right to Life’s Pro-Life Day 2004, which will be
held April 24 at the Embassy Suites in Greensboro. Pro-Life Day 2004
promises to have something for every person of any age and interest.
David N. O’Steen, Executive Director of National Right to life, will
provide his keen insight and knowledge of pro-life politics, the pro-life
advantage, and the negative effects of campaign finance laws on our
pro-life efforts.
Burke Balch, the Director of the Robert Powell Center for Medical Ethics,
will share his expertise on the issues of euthanasia and assisted suicide
and provide common sense ways for us to protect ourselves, as well as our
family members.
Mary Spaulding Balch, the Director of State Legislation for National Right
to Life, will give us the most up to date information on the impact that
informed consent legislation can have on saving the lives of the unborn,
and how to lobby effectively for such a law in North Carolina.
Holly Smith, a field coordinator for National Right to Life and a winner
of the Jody Foster look alike contest (you be the judge at Pro-Life Day),
will discuss how teens and young adults can make a difference for life in
their high schools and college environments.
The event will feature a series of workshops with a luncheon and keynote
address by Burke Balch, as well as additional remarks by David N. O’Steen,
and a speech by the winner of the NCRTL Oratory Contest. Candidates for
statewide office and congressional candidates will be invited to speak in
the afternoon.
All pro-lifers regardless of your level of involvement are encouraged to
come join us for what has traditionally been a wonderful day of learning,
sharing, inspiring, and energizing. At Pro-Life Day, you can make new
friends, renew old acquaintances, and become better informed.
